If you are not comfortable with any of your information that you put in your credit card application, you can always call the credit card company and fill it out over the phone; that way you can be sure to get your information correct and also without any problems. One positive thing about going on the credit card websites is that you are able to see the different types of credit cards available, and you will be able to choose which one you want as well as which style/picture you want on the credit card (if applicable).
When it comes to the information on the credit card application, it is used very discretely; and only on a "need to know" basis. In fact, the only time they look at your private information is when they are approved/denying the credit card application!
When filling out the credit card application, the only thing that you should be asking yourself is whether or not you really need the credit card.
